Still Having A Great Time!

Finally after many re-scheduled sessions, the weather cooperated and I was able to do a photo shoot with Julie Waites! I always have so much fun with her! I wish I could show you the slide show, but I can not get my DVD to upload!

On October 22nd, Hanna and I helped out at "Zumbathon Party in Pink"...a very fun fundraiser doing Zumba (and a little Hip-Hop thrown in there) for the Susan G. Komen Foundation raising money for breast cancer! Lori Snyder is our local Zumba instructor and she sure got us all moving!

Next, on October 30th, I helped out at the AIM Gymnastics Halloween Carnival, I have to say that the owner Kortni (also my "little sister" Hanna's mom) did a great job in making her gymnastics studio a fun place for everyone to come and celebrate Halloween!Cake Walk

This past weekend, I went to Renton, WA with my mom and friend Taylor to go watch the Miss Seattle 2011 Pageant (and a little shopping, a little dinner). We had fun and was happy to see that our very own Miss Columbia Basin Brittney Henry was 1st runner up and Lauren Kuhn took home the crown!

Walk To Defeat ALS Fundraiser!

What a great day! The weather was beautiful, lots of walkers showed up in support, Team Betty was the top Family Team fundraiser and the walk itself brought in almost $23,000!!

My whole family was there, my brother and sister drove in from their schools and joined us for the day and we had an excellent bar-be-que lunch after at my cousin Danica's house!

I am so thankful to everyone who has supported me and donated to this cause that is so close to my heart. This year I am proud to say that with everyone's help, I was able to donate $1,865! I was also honored to be asked to speak before the walk and share my story of my Aunt Betty and my platform "Community Awareness of ALS" with everyone there.

My Aunt Betty, we miss and love you!

September Time!

Well, summer fun is over and fall has begun! I had a great summer...went on a fantastic vacation with my family, had fun seeing friends I have made at several pageants, a bake sale, kids activities, the fair etc.!

Now I have started my sophomore year of high school and back at dance and drill team practices and performances...but the MOST exciting thing coming up is "Walk to Defeat ALS" on September 25th.

This is a 5 mile walk that helps to raise money for people in our community affected by ALS, known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. This will be my second year walking as Co-Captain with my Uncle Mark in memory of my Aunt Betty.

This year I have also been asked to speak before the walk and share my story of my aunt, my platform as Miss Moses Lake's Outstanding Teen and my experiences helping to raise awareness of ALS.

If you would like to visit my personal fundraising page, please go to:

You are all welcome to join me at the walk! Hope to see you there!

Keeping Busy!

This summer is flying by and I am keeping busy!

On June 24th, I attended the "Strike Out ALS" fundraiser at a Dust Devil game in the Tri-Cities...I got to throw out the first pitch! I also took a picture with the team (even though it was the opposing team, it was still fun!).June 26th, I headed down to the Car & Dog Wash here in Moses Lake for a bake sale to benefit the Miss America Organization.July 9th, I headed over to Renton Washington with my sister and mom and we attended the Miss Washington pageant. I cheered on our 3 representatives...Heidi, Brittney and Susan and was able to meet up with friends I have made along the way! All the girls did such a great job and Brittney placed 2nd runner up!
