The Opening Day Parade for baseball was chilly but fun! Lots of trucks decorated with team names and filled with crazy kids. Heidi, Susan, Brittney and I rode in a couple of trucks up front with our "Little Sisters". Once at the baseball field, we got to announce all the teams! My "Little Sister" Hanna

Fun Things!
My good friend Caitlynn Lawson competed in the local Jr. Miss Pageant this year and made 1st runner up! She did an amazing job and her dance number was so good! Congratulations Caitlynn!!I had some pictures taken with my "Little Sister" Hanna Nelson. Then this past weekend, I went to "Spring Forum". This is a fun weekend getting all of us prepared for the Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen Pageant that will be held over Memorial Day Weekend! There are 21 girls running this year and they were all so fun!

Easter Egg Hunt!
Today, April 3rd, was the Lion's Club Easter Egg Hunt! This is for kids from the age of 0 to I think about 10 or 12, and the volunteers dye something like 400 DOZEN eggs, fill I can't remember how many hundreds of plastic eggs with candy and prizes and set them out for what has traditionally been around 2000 kids every year! I'm not going to lie, but this morning was cold, I guess Moses Lake hasn't figured out that it is Spring! All the kids didn't seem to care though, they started showing up about 11:00, waiting for the 12:00 start...the egg hunt itself, took about 5 minutes start to finish! I was so surprised at how quickly the grass at the Amphitheater changed from covered to clean!
My First "Official" Appearance
The first time I really (not just trying it on in front of the mirror) got to put on my crown and sash was at the "Sweeper" pageant held in Puyallup on March 28th. This is the last pageant of the season where a chance of earning a title to go to State is held. I was able to see again all the Miss contestants that earned a title in Moses Lake and also meet a lot of girls from other areas that I will be seeing again throughout the next year. I also met Miss Washington 2009, Devanni Partridge. I was really excited to go, but then nervous the closer we got to the Liberty Theater...but once inside, I was so glad I was there!
The Night of the PAGEANT!
Meetings, late practices, broken shoes, blisters...all worth it because I was crowned Miss Moses Lake's Outstanding Teen 2010! Thank you to everyone who was with me throughout this process, I couldn't have done it without your support!
